As a busy charity, First Days were open about social media being the bottom of their to-do list, with their socials often being left for days or weeks without a post. I knew with a strong strategy that their social media feeds could boast a wealth of engaged followers.

Through research and collaborating with the team, I created a strategy ideal for their local-first charity including key statistics, powerful stories and providing simple yet crucial ways for their supporters to support local families in need.

During the first month of regular posting to social media, First Days experienced a 1,023% increase in organic impressions on Twitter, and a 40% increase in organic reach on Facebook. Engagements on Facebook rose by 47% and mentions on Twitter rose by 25%, providing a vital foundation for the charity to continue growing their social media presence in the future.

I was also involved with the setup of Facebook groups to allow the charity to connect local parents and guardians in order to swap quality school supplies, taking their work even further than their own warehouse.
