GIRLS OUT LOUD
Girls out Loud are a non-profit based in the North West of England, aiming to improve confidence, self esteem and aspirations within teen girls in high school.
Since September 2019, I have been an integral part of the organisation's A team. Taking over from another freelance social media strategist, I kept to a similar design flow in order to create a smooth transition from one professional to another. Since then I have worked on developing content to provide more education and inspiration for girls and women rather than just having their profiles sit as news hubs. My content is aimed at corporate businesses and women who are keen to make a difference, with content spanning over Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube.
I have also collaborated with a handful of PR agencies to achieve common goals. From covering 2019's Shining Stars Ball on social media to generating donations through a global pandemic, this has been an interesting learning curve.
The results from my work have been celebrated in various team meetings, and I have been praised by the non-profit’s founder, Jane Kenyon who has also hired me to manage her own social media presence. It was recently reported that Big Sister sign ups have skyrocketed since I took over the account. Engagements and followers have grown on every platform since my takeover, with their founder rocketing over 1,000 followers on Instagram; a milestone which had been untouchable for some time. Month on month our engagement and followers increase on every platform.
