TREES FOR STREETS

December '24 - September '26

I joined Trees for Streets during a time of change for the charity, simply ensuring social media continued to run as it should as teams changed. What was supposed to be a 3-month contract extended into a successful partnership, exploring new ways to target select audiences across the UK.

Through A/B testing and collaboration with the wider team, I created content that resonated well with audiences on Instagram especially. A piece for International Women's Day achieved over 56,000 views and 640+ new followers for the account within 3 weeks, with prolonged engagements even months later.

After some time, we pivoted into a hyper-local approach to support a separate paid social media campaign. Utilising Facebook groups to reach residents in partner councils allowed me to take a two-pronged approach to targeting people who were eligible to sponsor a street tree. Due to this approach, we could be a lot more flexible with who we were targeting and when, without needing to spend more money on Meta advertising, saving the charity money, and finding a budget-friendly solution that can carry over to many other charities.
